Multilingual Language Learning Management System

Learning a new language is a long process that requires continued exposure and practice; to really master a language you need to use it daily and regularly. Use LC to access internet sites in your target language and make it a habit to visit these sites on a daily basis. Look up new words, and work through hard sentences then save these words and sentences for later practices and drills. With LC you organize words by learning status and put them in lists. You can also associate words with images. Once new words are organized you can use a number of available drills to practice and increase your proficiency. Similarly you can organize and drill new sentences.

With LC you share your learning experiences with other users, and form groups with similar interests. You can seek out and team up with users who speak your target language and who are learning your own language so you can help each other.
With LanguageCurrent you can easily create learning materials and share them with your students. You can create word lists or reading articles with audio. You can provide your students with video links with transcription of their content. You can provide drills and exercises that supplement class experiences.

In addition, instructors can develop and offer specialized courses to the larger user community with lessons, instruction videos, quizzes etc.
With LanguageCurrent you can help your children move beyond the specific content of a language program offered on a CD or DVD by giving them opportunities to develop additional content and learning materials.
LanguageCurrent is available for local installations and can be integrated with Moodle. Give your students and teachers the tools to create their unique learning process.

LC can be an effective language learning tool when students and teachers use it to share learning content and exchange messages and information.
LanguageCurrent Learning Model

LanguageCurrent's guiding principles are rooted in the natural language learning process. In the natural process, language is acquired through contextual experiences filled with activity and emotions. By utilizing the internet the user can identify content on all kinds of websites that he or she is motivated to access. With easy access to translation tools, LangaugeCurrent gives the user a convenient process to identify interesting content and establish the building blocks for their learning.

Once individual words are identified these words are organized into meaningful lists. Lists are groups of words that have a natural linguistic connection. In LangagueCurrent lists are built using major and minor categories to establish a meaningful relationship that reflects the semantic structure among these words. As with lists, pairs of words are connected together in associations that sharpen the semantic meaning of these words. In addition, each word is associated with an image that represents the meaning of that word visually and can potentially provide an emotional dimension that can be very helpful in learning that word. This process is essential for establishing the meaning of each word in its semantic natural context and not in mere translation.
